Soak in the hot tub under a dark country sky, gather around the fire pit, and come back inside to knotty pine walls, a cathedral ceiling and a covered front porch made for morning coffee. This retreat is a great place to get away from it all, relax and unwind in a quiet setting.
The main floor has two queen bedrooms, a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, and an open living, dining and kitchen space. Upstairs, a big open loft holds two twin beds, a full sleeper sofa, a second TV and plenty of room to spread out. A twin sleeper sofa in the living room makes room for one more. The cabin sleeps up to 8 guests. There is also a blow-up queen mattress for additional sleeping.
Spend your days on the water at Hardy Dam Pond or Croton Dam Pond, paddle the Muskegon River out of Newaygo, ride or hike the Dragon Trail at Hardy Dam, or walk the nearby North Country Trail and Loda Lake Wildflower Sanctuary. Fall brings color and hunting season on the surrounding public land (Michigan DNR license required), and winter brings snowmobile and cross-country ski country. Groceries and coffee are about 10 minutes away in White Cloud, and Grand Rapids is about an hour south.
Good to know before you book:
- There is little to no cell service at the cabin. Starlink Wi-Fi is provided, so plan on Wi-Fi calling.
- The wood stove is decorative only and is not for guest use. The cabin has a propane furnace and central air.
- There is no dishwasher, washer or dryer.
- One full bathroom serves the whole cabin.
- Dogs are welcome (2 max, dog fee applies).
- ORVs, ATVs and dirt bikes are not allowed on the property.
Rates & Availability
Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 5 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 5 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

We are full time hosts and vacation rental property managers with a passion for creating a memorable experience. We believe short-term and vacation rentals are the best way to travel and have personally been using them for years.
